Our approach
Our approach is simple – feed people well and make it feel good. We love shared-style dining: generous food down the middle of the table, people reaching across each other for the good stuff, going back for seconds, and settling in for a night together. It’s relaxed, it gets people talking, and it means everyone (dietary requirements included) gets to enjoy and be part of it.
We cook with Tasmanian produce wherever we can because it genuinely tastes better. Good ingredients, grown by good people, don’t need too much fuss. And while we’re here to throw a great party first and foremost, it’s also nice knowing your event supports Hamlet’s training and employment programs for people facing barriers to work. Good food doing what good food does best - bringing people together.
What We Do
Weddings
Hamlet Weddings are all about good food, good people and a really good time. We love creating celebrations that feel relaxed and full of life- long lunches that roll into late nights, shared feasts, flowing drinks and dance floors interrupted only by a late-night pan-fried bun. The kind of wedding where nobody’s in a rush to leave and everyone’s still talking about the food weeks later.
Available across Tasmania.Canapé Functions
Our canapé functions are generous in all the right ways. Seasonal bites, substantial roaming dishes and plenty of food that keeps people circulating rather than parked at a table all night. Perfect for birthdays, engagements, work parties or any excuse to fill a room with good people and feed them properly.
Canapé parties wherever you like to celebrate. At our place or yours.Private Dinners
Private dinners are where we slow things down a little. Shared plates, seasonal produce and a table full of people enjoying really good food together. Whether it’s at Hamlet, at your place or somewhere else special, we focus on creating food and service that feels warm, relaxed and memorable.
