Our style leans towards generous shared feasting, seasonal Tasmanian produce and creating the kind of atmosphere where guests settle in, loosen up and properly enjoy themselves.
We’re big believers that great wedding food should feel abundant without being overcomplicated. Plenty of flavour, plenty to go around and thoughtful options for everyone at the table. From welcome snacks and shared dinners through to late-night pan-fried buns, we’re here to make sure your guests are very well fed from start to finish.
And while the focus is always on throwing a great party, every wedding with Hamlet also supports training and employment opportunities for people facing barriers to work – something pretty special to be part of while celebrating with the people you love most.
Private Dinners
Our canapé functions are designed for the kind of parties where people want to eat well without being tied to a table all night. Whether you’re after a few good snacks alongside drinks or a more substantial roaming menu that keeps everyone well fed, we shape the food around the kind of event you want to host.
Think seasonal canapés, bigger shared bites and food designed to keep the room feeling lively and relaxed. Perfect for engagements, birthdays, launches, work parties or any gathering where the goal is simple: bring good people together and feed them really well.
We can host events at Hamlet or bring the whole thing to you, with menus shaped around Tasmania’s incredible produce and hospitality that feels warm, easy and unfussy. And as with everything we do, every function helps support Hamlet’s training and employment programs for people facing barriers to work – a pretty nice thing to be part of while throwing a great party.

Private dinners are where we lean into what we love most – thoughtful food, warm hospitality and bringing people together around the table. Whether it’s an intimate celebration, milestone birthday, corporate gathering or special occasion, our dinners are designed to feel relaxed, generous and personal.
Our menus change with the seasons and make the most of Tasmania’s incredible produce, with shared dishes designed to be passed around and enjoyed together. We can host private dinners onsite at Hamlet or work with you to create something special in a space you love.
